Thank Yous

Huge warm hugs and thank yous to the wonderful staff and students at Mark R. Isfeld for donating money raised in memory of Emily Jenkins on World Down Syndrom Day!

A ginormous heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in the memorial “It’s Not just Beer, It’s Love” event at Royston Nano Brewery in honour of Brad Harris. Your support makes a difference to Comox Valley families every single day!

A courageous thank you to Adrienne for putting together a fundraiser amongst her own battle with chemotherapy! Adrienne not only fundraised money for YANA, and Wigs for Kids but continued on and donated her own hair to a cause close to her heart. You are one AMAZING woman Adrienne! We are so grateful to be in a community with wonderful people like you!

Once again, Jack Boan breaks records with his incredible reciting skills! Pi Day wouldn’t be the same without you, Jack! Thank you for choosing to support YANA every year. We’re rooting for you!

Year after year the Comox Fire Fighter Association warm up the tree chipper for folks to dispose of their Christmas trees by donation, with all proceeds going to YANA. Thank you for your continued time and commitment to raising money through this wonderful service and fundraiser!

Students at Miracle Beach Elementary got baking in support of YANA families.  Mmmmarvelous muffins were sold at the school and the proceeds of the delicious sale were donated to YANA!

16 year old Tarn Blakely had 2 feet of hair and a hope to give back, and she did just that. Tarn not only donated her cut locks to Hair We Share, but she raised money for the big chop to donate to YANA. Thank you for making this monumental moment count by creatively and generously giving back to your community!

As a YANA volunteer and FortisBC retiree, Joyce applied for this donation from FortisBC as a part of their “Give where you live” community investment program.  Thank you Joyce for your time and efforts in support of YANA families and for applying for this donation for YANA.  For more information about The FortisBC Community Investment and Employee Giving programs, please see https://www.fortisbc.com/in-your-community/community-investment/employee-giving

PECSF pledged donations from provincial government employees made during their annual campaign. The funds are made possible due to the dedication of PECSF volunteer provincial employees, who promote the campaign and canvass workers.  YANA would like to thank all BC Public Servants who support YANA families through their PECSF pledges!  More information on how you can support YANA as a BC Public Servant can be found here: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/careers-myhr/about-the-bc-public-service/corporate-social-responsibility/pecsf/charity

Once again, in celebration of ‘Pi Day’, Jack Boan, recited numbers of Pi to raise money for YANA, and this year exceeding his goal, reciting an incredible 1800 digits!
