Many generous individuals whose “quiet” contributions in June and July helped to keep families strong.

Vancouver Island White Water Paddling Association, Jackson Kayaks & Western Canoe & Kayak. They auctioned off a boat with proceeds to YANA

Schools in School District #71 – seeing kids so excited about helping other kids is a wonderful thing!

Jascha Phillips decided to cut his long hair and donate the money he raised to YANA We sure love it when family and friends get behind a kid doing good in our community. Thanks Jascha.

Courtenay Kia held a barbecue and donated proceeds to YANA We love summer barbecues and what better way to do it than with proceeds to a local charity like YANA

What a fun time on a sunny day at the airport. The Comox Valley Airport Commission matched the funds raised by a barbecue for airport volunteers and the public by On the Fly Cafe. It was nice to connect with these kind folks again.

Marjan Jackson was a YANA Volunteer extraordinaire when she volunteered to do all the work to bring the Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir to the Comox Valley. It was a fantastic evening at Mark R. Isfeld School. Thank you so much Marjan. Thanks go as well to the corporate sponsors of the event – Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community, McQueen Construction, Canadian Western Bank and Tim Hortons. It was a great partnership with Mark R. Isfeld School, as well.

The Comox Valley Principals and Vice Principals Association continue to pay back to YANA We know that they get to see first hand the impact of childhood illnesses and injuries on their students and their families. YANA helps all children under the age of 19 living in School District 71 who must leave the Comox Valley for medical treatment elsewhere.

The Courtenay Office of Workers Compensation made a nice donation to YANA through their corporate “Helping Hands” program. It’s so nice that your local donations can be given to a local charity through your gifting program.

Telus, through their “Give Where You Live” Program, approved a grant to Highland Secondary School “to empower and enable youth to be agents of change”. What a great way to give back to kids and families in our community. Thanks Highland and Telus.
