Earlier this year, Sara M. poured her heart into her grade 12 capstone project, and the result is nothing short of magical and NEEDS to be shared!!
When Sara and her family stayed at a YANA apartment in Vancouver, a piece of art on the wall illustrating the Comox Valley became a comforting presence, reminding her of the immense support of our community behind her. Inspired by this, Sara taught herself how to paint and created 4 STUNNING watercolor masterpieces capturing the beauty of the Comox Valley.
Sara turned her beautiful art into sets of prints, sold them, and donated the proceeds to YANA! 😊💖 Not stopping there, she generously donated the original paintings to YANA, ensuring they continue inspiring hope in the hearts of families going through tough times.
Sara, your kindness and creativity have left us in awe. Your art isn’t just paintings; they are symbols of resilience, community, and love. So, from the depths of our hearts, THANK YOU, Sara! Your art has a special place in our YANA family, reminding us all of the incredible power of giving and creativity.

A heartfelt shoutout to Andrew Sheret Limited for their donation from their recent golf tournament fundraiser! Your kindness and compassion are the rays of sunshine that light up our community.

Special thanks to Keith H. for not only being part of this amazing gesture but also for dropping it off at our doorstep.

Huge thank you to Janet F. for her recent donation to YANA in lieu of payment to Anne Davies for her purchased art work. We are absolutely thrilled and touched by your incredible generosity!

A big shoutout to the amazing Madison!🍋🧁
Madison hosted her annual lemonade stand in August; this year, she added a sweet twist with cupcakes! She raised an INCREDIBLE $225 for YANA families!
What makes this donation truly special is the fact that it comes from the heart of a young, compassionate soul. Madison’s lemonade stand demonstrates the incredible impact even our youngest community members can have. 🌟✨
Thank you, Madison, for being a shining example of how young kids can make a BIG difference! 🌈👏

A huge shoutout to Ecole Robb Road for their incredible generosity at the Young Entrepreneur Fair! Thank you, Ecole Robb Road, for proving that age is no barrier to making a positive difference in our world.

“A lot of people could do what I’m doing. When you have somebody to ride for, and a great cause like YANA, those are the things that really drive me.”
Our top fundraising rider this year didn’t feel like he was doing anything outrageously special. He knew he wanted to support YANA, and he came up with a personal plan to do what he could. One person doing their own thing might be somewhat ordinary, but when a community says, “Yes! I know how I can help,” the results are extraordinary.
57 volunteers and 56 sponsors & prize donors laid the groundwork for 248 dedicated riders to chart-their-own-course in this year’s Comox Bike Co. YANA Ride fundraiser.
Thousands of supporters made a pledge towards their efforts, bought draw tickets and gear, bid on auction items or had a blast at the Party in the Park. No two people helped in exactly the same way, but the impact of SO many people doing what they personally could was exponential.
Friends, together we raised ONE HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND record-breaking dollars for YANA families! $112,000!!!!
Thank you to everyone who helped in whatever way that you could so that we’re able to keep helping families the way that we can!
Come ONE, come ALL! The YANA Ride Party in the Park is Sunday, August 20th!
